January 2 – In the Footsteps of Jesus

I am a Buddhist. But following in Jesus’s footsteps is still a good thing. I Googled to see if my home city has taken in refugees, and it has. World Relief is a Christian charity with an A plus rating from the BBB, so I went to their advocacy page.

It took 5 minutes to put my 9 digit zip code into a form, and soon I had emailed my Congressman, telling him I strongly object to anti-refugee legislation.

House Bill HR 4731 would revoke refugee status for anyone who returns to their country of origin to visit loved ones or rebuild.

Among other things that I think are bad ideas, and suck.

PS–if you sign an advocacy letter, be prepared to give your home address so Trump can send the black helicopters.
