Donald Trump doesn’t read. To bibliophiles, this is THE biggest indictment of his character.
Meanwhile, I just got out of the hospital. There isn’t a lot to do in the hospital. But you can read. My friend Kerry, with whom I work at our local indie bookstore, gave me the idea to re-read some of the classic works on totalitarian governments.
Here are a few suggestions for my blog followers:
*1984 by George Orwell
*Brave New World by Aldus Huxley
*The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
*Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
*The Manchurian Candidate by Richard Condon
And of course:
Insane Clown President by Matt Taibbi
All of these books are selling like hotcakes at my bookstore. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
